A gift on Forevermore is made from things that matter to you. Here is how we look after them, in plain language.
Last updated August 2026.
When you make a gift, you give us the photos, words, and music you want in it, along with your name, the recipient's name, and your email address, so we can set up the gift and send you receipts. We keep all of it so your world stays put and the person you made it for can open it whenever they like.
We also keep basic records of your purchases (through Paddle) and of the emails we've sent you. That's the whole list. We don't collect anything on the side.
You can ask us to delete a gift and everything in it at any time. Write to us and we will take care of it.
Payments are handled by Paddle, our payment provider. When you buy a gift, your card details go straight to Paddle and are processed on their systems. We never see or store your full card number. Paddle acts as the seller of record and follows their own privacy practices for the payment side of things.
Running Forevermore takes a handful of trusted services behind the scenes. Here's who does what:
Each of these only handles the part of the job it needs to, and nothing more.
We measure how the dashboard is doing with PostHog, on its EU cloud. With your okay, it keeps a small cookie so it can recognise repeat visits, and it can record how the app behaves — with every field and all text masked, so the words and photos in your gifts are never captured — to help us fix rough edges. Say no, or (in the EU, the UK, and Switzerland) until you say yes, and analytics stays anonymous and cookieless, with no recording. The small banner is where you choose.
We look at the numbers in aggregate, things like which pages people visit and where they came from. We don't build a profile of you, and we don't sell your data to anyone. Ever.
We run a few ads on Meta (that's Facebook and Instagram) so more people can find Forevermore. To know whether those ads are worth running, our marketing site at getforevermore.co uses their measurement pixel.
When the pixel runs, it sets small cookies (Meta's _fbp and _fbc) that match a visit back to the ad that led to it. Meta receives that visit data and handles it under their own privacy policy.
If you're in the EU, the UK, or Switzerland, the pixel stays off unless you say yes — that's what the small banner on the marketing site asks. Everywhere else it runs by default, and "Cookie preferences" in the site footer switches it off any time. If your browser sends a Global Privacy Control signal, we treat it as a no and won't ask.
The dashboard where you build, and the gift pages themselves, don't run any ad pixels. A gift is never an ad.
We keep cookies and browser storage to the bare minimum. Here's everything we actually use:
That's the full list. You're in charge of these cookies, and nothing is ever sold to anyone.
You'll get the essentials: your receipt and the account emails you'd expect. On top of that, we send a few helpful nudges, like a reminder to finish a gift you started or to share one that's ready. And now and then we'll write to you ourselves, to ask how Forevermore is treating you or to tell you when a new world opens.
These come from [email protected] through Resend. Every email that isn't an essential has a one-press way to stop more like it, right at the bottom, and reminder emails are opt-in, so you only get them if you've asked for them. Say stop once and we stop.
A gift is meant for the person you made it for, and you choose when and how to send it. A published gift lives at its own web address on getforevermore.co. You can keep it public, so anyone with the link can open it, or private, locked with a six-character access code you share only with the people you want.
You can also make a gift for one person. They claim it, and after that it opens only for them.
We don't share the contents of your gift with anyone, and we never use your photos or words to promote Forevermore unless you've told us we can.
When you make a gift, you give us the recipient's name and, usually, photos of them. We only use that content inside the gift you're making. We don't use it for anything else.
If you're the recipient of a gift and you'd like something about you removed, write to us at [email protected] and we'll sort it out.
Gifts are meant to last, so by default we keep your gift content for good. That's how a world stays open "forever" for the person you made it for. We don't quietly delete things or age them out.
It's your data, though. You can ask us for a copy of what we hold, or ask us to delete a gift, or your whole account, at any time. Email [email protected] and we'll do it.
If we change how any of this works, we'll update the date at the top of this page and flag anything meaningful. No quiet rewrites.
If you want a copy of your data, want something deleted, or just have a question about any of this, email us at [email protected] and a real person will get back to you.
